The Los Angeles Chargers picked up a huge road win over the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving day. Here are three takeaways from the game.

The Los Angeles Chargers had a big opportunity to face a wounded Dallas Cowboys football team on Thanksgiving day, and they definitely took full advantage. With a 28-6 victory in AT&T Stadium, the ‘Bolts have climbed back within one game of .500 and find themselves in the AFC Playoff race for the first time in 2017.

Needless to say, it was a good Thanksgiving day for the Chargers faithful fans.

Led by Philip Rivers’ huge day through the air, Los Angeles was in the lead from start to finish. We all knew that the Cowboys had been struggling on defense, but I don’t think any of us thought the veteran gun-slinger would throw for over 400 yards on Thursday afternoon. I guess Rivers has a little more left in the tank than we all thought.

While most everyone was picking the Chargers to win this game against Dallas, it was encouraging to see Los Angeles dominate for a full 60 minutes. We haven’t seen that a lot from them this season, but now is as good of a time as any to start.

That said, take a look at three takeaways for the ‘Bolts in their game against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving day.
