Los Angeles Chargers: 3 Takeaways vs. Cowboys on Thanksgiving

3. Philip Rivers and Keenan Allen are becoming a dangerous combo
Heading into the 2017 season, everyone had high expectations for what this Chargers offense could become. That said, due to some injuries on the offensive line and inconsistencies in their offensive play-calling, this Los Angeles offense has taken some time to fully click. Needless to say, it looks like Philip Rivers and Keenan Allen are beginning to become one of the more dangerous combos in the league.

Allen had 11 receptions for 172 yards and 1 touchdown on Thursday afternoon against the Cowboys. When you add his 12 reception, 159 yard and two touchdown game against the Bills from five days ago, you’ll quickly realize just how dominant he’s been over the last two games.
That means Allen has 23 receptions for 331 yards and three touchdowns in the Chargers previous two matchups. If that doesn’t get Los Angeles fans excited for the stretch-run of the season, I don’t know what will.
If Rivers and Allen can continue this connection over their last five games of 2017, the Bolts will definitely have a chance to climb back into the mix for a playoff berth.
