The Miami Dolphins need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive, but run into the New England Patriots in Week 12.

The Miami Dolphins are in the midst of a four-game losing streak, and fighting for their playoff lives as we enter the stretch run of the season. It’s not often you can be 4-6 and still in the thick of the playoff picture, but in a down year for the AFC, that’s where Miami currently sits. On paper, the schedule is brutal to end the season. If Miami is going to keep their playoff hopes alive, they’re going to need to turn on the jets, and that process starts Sunday against the New England Patriots.

With four tough divisional games down the stretch, the Dolphins have a tough road in front of them. However, that road has gotten a little easier with the Buffalo Bills seeming to have no clue what they’re doing at the quarterback position. Outside of those games, the Dolphins will likely face back-up quarterback Paxton Lynch when the team faces the Denver Broncos.

It’s also possible they could face Kansas City Chiefs backup Patrick Mahomes. What looked like a brutal close just a couple weeks ago could line up nicely for the Dolphins. If Miami can steal at least one game against the Patriots, the second Wild Card is well within their reach.

The Dolphins get their first crack at the mighty Patriots this Sunday. If they’re going to pull off the surprising upset, they’re going to need some great performances from their key players. Here’s a look at 3 bold predictions for the week 12 tilt.
