Going to Washington last week, the New Orleans Saints were the clear favorite. After a slow start in the first half, they were able to overcome adversity and win their eighth straight. It might not be the game we thought, but they ended up with the win.
Most of all, it showed how easily the team can adapt and make big plays when necessary. That was one of their main issues during last season. Even though it was a great team win and deserves a lot of praise, Week 12 is already upon us.
Headed into this week, it’s an entirely different storyline. The Saints are facing off against the 7-3 who are fresh off a loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Looking at them from last season and now, it’s hard to believe they’re the same teams.
They’re both at the top of their games, offensively and defensively. While the Saints were able to overcome adversity against Washington, it’s going to be a lot tougher against the Rams. If they plan to get their 9th straight win, it’s going to take a lot of grit and determination from the team.
