Chicago Bears vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The Chicago Bears travel to the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, PA, to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a Week 12 matchup between two NFC teams. Both of the teams come into the game with vastly different storylines. Chicago is just looking to make strides as a team behind rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.

They are likely not going to be in the playoffs, but the reps and experience the team gains the rest of the season will be valuable. If you do not believe that, look no further than the team they play on Sunday.

Philadelphia heads into Week 12 with the best record in football (9-1). They are looking to win their 10th game of the year and take another step to securing home-field advantage in the playoffs. Second-year quarterback Carson Wentz has been dominant this season, and he currently leads the NFL with his 25 touchdown passes. Wentz was thrown into battle his rookie season, and his experience has played a crucial factor to him now being the front-runner for NFL MVP.

Bears Keys To Victory

Protect Trubisky: Philly has the best defensive line in football, so the Bears needs to help their rookie quarterback out by keeping him clean.

Let Trubisky have his growing pains: If the Bears think they will be able to help their rookie out by running the ball 30 or more times in this game, they are setting their quarterback up for failure. The Eagles have the best run defense in the NFL so the Bears need to let Trubisky air it out on Sunday, even if that means he has a rough day.

Feed off the underdog label: There isn’t a person in the NFL that is picking the Bears to beat the Eagles on Sunday, which is exactly why the Bears need to let that fuel them and pick up a huge upset victory.

Eagles Keys To Victory

Keep a good balance on offense: Head coach Doug Pederson has done a solid job this season finding a good run-pass balance in games. He needs to make sure he does that again and doesn’t throw the ball 40 times when he has a solid rushing attack.

Hit the big play early: If the Eagles can hit a big play early on the Bears, they could take them out of the game right away.

Sustain long drives: The Bears offense is probably going to go three-and-out a lot on Sunday, so if the Eagles can sustain long drives; the Bears defense is going to be dead by the end of the game.

Prediction

Trubisky is in for a long day on Sunday against the Eagles defense. Wentz should have the exact opposite as he and the Eagles dominate Chicago for their 10th win of the season.
