Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs

The Buffalo Bills opened the season with five wins in their first seven games, but are now just a 5-5 team. The Kansas City Chiefs were the last team to lose a game in 2017. But after a 5-0 start, Andy Reid’s club owns a 6-4 record.

Which version of which team shows up on Sunday as they face off in Week 12 action?

Keys to Victory

Both of these defensive units have been on the ropes lately. More significantly, we have seen the Bills abused during their current three-game losing streak, allowing a combined 135 points in the losses to the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Chargers. Keep in mind that the Buffalo has surrendered a disturbing 638 rushing yards in those setbacks. Sean McDermott’s club gave up only 561 yards on the ground during the club’s 5-2 start.

So that’s one way for the Chiefs to get back on track. Kansas City’s running game has been missing in action as of late and the team needs rookie Kareem Hunt to regain his early-season form. He could get back on track against a Buffalo defense tied for 24th in the NFL against the run after 11 weeks.

Prediction

What can you expect from two teams that were off and running with 5-2 records and have now hit the skids? For the Kansas City Chiefs, they are still the only team in the AFC West with a winning record. For the Buffalo Bills, they can’t afford to slip too much further in the conference playoff chase. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor returns to start for McDermott’s club but it’s the Bills’ defense that must rise to the occasion. Don’t be surprised if points are at a premium here and a late field goal wins it for Andy Reid’s club.

Final Score: Kansas City Chiefs: 16, Buffalo Bills: 14
