Cleveland Browns vs. Cincinnati Bengals

It’s the second meeting of the season between the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals. And Hue Jackson’s winless team is in danger of being swept by their longtime intrastate rival for the third straight year.

All told, the Bengals have prevailed in six consecutive meetings dating back to the clubs’ second encounter in 2013. Will that continue in NFL Week 12, though?

Keys to Victory

Back in Week 4 at Cleveland, Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton hit on 25 of his 30 throws for 286 yards and four touchdowns in his team’s 31-7 victory. But Cincinnati also totaled 30 running plays for 86 yards in the victory. Dalton was sacked three times and lost a fumble.

However, the Bengals gained 350 total yards and controlled the clock for 35:02 on the afternoon thanks to their balanced attack. The Browns’ defense is currently ranked eighth overall and sixth in the NFL against the run so the Bengals hope to keep Gregg Williams unit off balance once again.

Prediction

Simply out, the Cleveland Browns can’t seem to get out of their own way these days. The offense is ranked near the bottom of the league and the club has committed a whopping 28 turnovers in 10 contests. Williams’ defense has had some moments this season and could present some problems once again for Dalton.

But the Cincinnati Bengals have this game and a Monday night home showdown with the Steelers up next. We will soon know if this club is going anywhere this season.

Final Score: Cincinnati Bengals: 30, Cleveland Browns: 17
