Jaguars vs. Cardinals: Preview, score prediction for Week 12
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Arizona Cardinals
For the second time in five seasons, the Jacksonville Jaguars head west to the desert and square off with the slumping Arizona Cardinals. It marks only the fifth lifetime meeting between these franchises dating back to 2000.
But there are quite a few familiar faces on both teams that could have a big impact on this contest.
Keys to Victory
In last Sunday’s 31-21 loss at Houston, Cardinals’ third-string quarterback Blaine Gabbert threw for 257 yards and three touchdowns. But he was also picked off two times and sacked twice in the 10-point loss to the Texans. Arizona has allowed 28 sacks in the 10 games this season.
And now Bruce Arians’ team faces a Jacksonville pass rush that has totaled 40 quarterback traps in 10 outings, with 11.5 of those sacks courtesy of former Cardinals’ defensive end Calais Campbell. The Jaguars have also allowed the fewest total yards and fewest passing yards in the NFL this season. So who gets revenge on their former team on Sunday afternoon?

Prediction
Once again, the Jacksonville Jaguars are on the road and they have fared pretty well there this season (4-1). The Arizona Cardinals have dropped two straight games for the first time all season but this is still a veteran club capable of winning when it has to and that time is now. And we could get that Jalen Ramsey/Larry Fitzgerald match-up after all. And wouldn’t it be interesting to see Gabbert get a little revenge against his former employers?
Final Score: Arizona Cardinals: 22, Jacksonville Jaguars: 20
