New York Jets: 3 Takeaways vs. Panthers in Week 12
The New York Jets got their seventh loss of the season, and it was at the hands of the Carolina Panthers in Week 12, 35-27.
This has undoubtedly been a frustrating season for the New York Jets. They have consistently found a different way to lose. There has been a myriad of ways to lose all season long.
Early on in the season, they lost in blowout fashion and weren’t competitive throughout those games. Then they were competitive in games, but found a way to blow games in the second half by crumbling at the end and not scoring in the third quarter of games. Against the Panthers, it was self-inflicted wounds that caused their demise.
Whatever the case, the Jets are a young team that needs to make mistakes in order to grow. This could be the season where the kinks are getting worked out, and they get more disciplined in the offseason.
Maybe it’s time for a complete overhaul and a philosophical change for the front office. No matter what the Jets do, there must be drastic changes in the offseason to make this team a playoff contender. One this is for certain, both Mike Maccagnan and Todd Bowles deserve next season to turn this around.
Here are some things that stick out from the Week 12 matchup with the Panthers.
