2018 NFL Draft: Los Angeles Chargers 7-round mock draft in November
By Derek Snyder
Round 4: Bo Scarbrough, RB, Alabama
This is easily my favorite pick that the Chargers could potentially make this upcoming April in the NFL Draft. There’s no reason to believe this team is going away from Melvin Gordon as their starting running back anytime soon, but they have been struggling to punch the football in at the goal-line.
Sure, adding more depth and physicalness on the offensive line definitely helps, but Los Angeles needs a back that can run right through the defense, regardless of where the offense is on the football field.
Needless to say, Bo Scarbrough is that guy. While those aren’t impressive numbers by any means, Scarbrough has the ability to be a game-changer. Unfortunately for Scarbrough, the Crimson Tide have rolled with Damien Harris for most of the season instead of him.
Even though that may stink for him right now, it just means he’ll have even less wear on the tires heading into the NFL. He’s proven when he’s been given the opportunity that he can be a workhorse and is more than talented enough to do damage with those carries.
