Round 6: Duke Dawson, DB, Florida

Even though the Florida Gators are stinking it up in 2017, Duke Dawson has become one of the only bright spots on that football team. With three interceptions, nine passes-defended and 29 total tackles, he should definitely be on the Chargers radar in the late rounds of the 2018 NFL Draft.

He isn’t a very big defensive back at only 5-0, but he knows how to make plays on the field when his team needs it most. Not only has his 3 career interception-returned touchdowns helped his teammates, but it’s one of the main reasons why this kid id being labelled as a ballhawk.

If he can come in and give the Chargers secondary some legit competition early in camp, Dawson could actually end up making the team’s 53-man roster. We don’t know what Los Angeles’ depth is going to look like in the secondary next season, so it wouldn’t surprise me to see their front office take multiple defensive backs in the upcoming draft next April.
