With Week 13 of the regular season set to kick off tonight, who are the players fantasy football owners should want to start and sit?

This is the final week in the majority of leagues before the fantasy playoffs kickoff and plenty of owners need a win to get in. Who are the players who can make that happen and who are the players who will ruin those chances for owners? Let’s get to it and good luck to all the owners out there during this pivotal week!

Here are some players you should consider starting or sitting for Week 13.

Quarterbacks

Start

Marcus Mariota, Tennessee Titans vs. Houston Texans – Last week, Mariota was one of my favorite fantasy players for the week and he straight-up busted. Yet, I’m sticking with the guy. His matchup this week is against the Texans who before Week 12, gave up 3+ touchdowns in three out their previous four games. Also, Mariota plays at home this Sunday where he’s averaged 17.14 fantasy points per game this season.

Philip Rivers, Los Angeles Chargers vs. Cleveland Browns – Rivers butchered the Cowboys defense on Thanksgiving and given his matchup this week, I think he’ll have another strong performance.

Sit

Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions vs. Baltimore Ravens – Stafford has been great this season but last week he was held in check by the Vikings defense. This week he takes on a Ravens defense, who hasn’t given up a touchdown pass in four out of their last five games. Given the situation, I don’t like his ceiling this week.

Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Pittsburgh Steelers – Over the last three weeks Dalton has been the 10th-best fantasy quarterback but I doubt that type of production continues this week. AFC North games have a habit of turning into ugly low-scoring games and the last time Dalton played against the Steelers this season, he only finished with 10.4 fantasy points.
