The Denver Broncos will be on the road in Week 13 to play the Miami Dolphins and here are three bold predictions for that game.

With five games left on the schedule, it appears that the Denver Broncos are almost completely out of the playoff race. They currently have a 3-8 record, placing them dead last in the AFC West Division. The best thing for the Broncos going forward, would be losing the rest of their games to increase their draft position in next year’s draft.

The Miami Dolphins currently have a 4-7 record, placing them last in the AFC East Division. The New York Jets also have a 4-7 record, but they currently have the tie breaker, giving them the third spot in the AFC East Division ranking, due to having a better inter-conference and division record. The Dolphins will need to win the rest of their scheduled games in order for them to have a chance at making the playoffs.

The Dolphins lead the series with a 11-6-1 record. However, the Broncos are boasting a 3-2 record in their last five meetings. The last time these two teams played was in 2014 when the Broncos came away with a close 39-36 victory over the Dolphins.

Miami is entering this game with a defense that ranks 21st in the league with 3,809 total yards allowed. They rank 17th against the pass with 2,514 yards allowed and 25th in the league with 1,295 rushing yards allowed on the season.

Even though the Broncos have faced some opportunities this season, they still have enough talent on their roster to make this a competitive match up. Denver still has one of the toughest defenses in the league which could present problems for Miami’s offense which ranks 30th in the league in total offense (3,144 yards). At this point in the season the Broncos are playing for pride and the Dolphins could be their stepping stone to bolstering their confidence for the 2018 season.
