1. Scoreless tie

The NFL instituted overtime in 1974. Since then, 22 games have ended in ties, and prior to that, there were 256 ties. Since 1974, there have been eight tied games in which both teams scored ten points or less. The last one was between the Cardinals and Seahawks, and that was the lowest scoring tied game in the overtime era…until this one.

The world was engulfed in war, and NFL players were leaving to serve, but that didn’t halt the NFL season, save for the Cleveland Rams, who couldn’t field a team. The date was Nov. 7, 1943, and the place was Briggs Field in Detroit Michigan. The New York Giants were playing the Detroit Lions. That was the last time an NFL game ended 0-0.

That’s right! It’s been over 74 years since the last scoreless tie in the NFL. This would mark the 75th time in NFL history a game ended in a 0-0 tie. The Chiefs and Jets are playing just bad enough at this point for this to happen, and it will. The Jets and Chiefs have played to one tie in their 38 games all time, and this will be their second, and one for the history books.
