7. Sam Bradford, QB, Minnesota Vikings

2017 Salary: $18,000,000

Where he will sign: Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos have been terrible in 2017, and a big part of that has been their play at the quarterback position. Trevor Siemian looked good to start the year, but his play fell off in a big hurry. Brock Osweiler wasn’t the answer either, and who knows what the future holds for Paxton Lynch.

That’s why, instead of settling on underwhelming options, the Broncos go out and get themselves a proven winner. Sam Bradford may not be the true solve-all Denver fans are hoping for, but he’s far better than Siemian, Osweiler or Lynch at this point.

If the Broncos were okay with Peyton Manning’s neck issues, I think they can get over Bradford’s knee concerns. When healthy, he’s one of the better quarterbacks in this league. We’ve seen that between his 2016 performance with the Vikings and the 2017 season opener. It’s a gamble, but this is John Elway we’re talking about.

The Broncos get a competent quarterback, allowing them to better take advantage of the various offensive weapons they have in their arsenal. It also allows their near-elite defense to not always be stuck in such poor position when opponents get the ball.
