2018 NFL Free Agency: Early predictions for top 15 players
14. Jarvis Landry, WR, Miami Dolphins
2017 Salary: $1,105,654
Where he will sign: Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens need help at wide receiver in the worst of ways. Mike Wallace is a one-dimensional talent, Breshad Perriman is a bust and Jeremy Maclin has failed to assert himself as the No. 1 receiver he was once capable of being.
It’s time for the Ravens to add a proven talent to the mix who is still in their prime. That’s where someone such as Jarvis Landry could come into the picture. The 25-year-old pass catcher is a dynamic talent still in his prime years, but may decide to find a new home this offseason after some bumpy years with the Miami Dolphins.
It doesn’t help that the Dolphins are in a dire financial situation, and will be faced with re-signing Devante Parker soon as well. With Kenny Stills making close to $10 million annually beginning next season, finding a way to get Landry back under contract is going to be difficult.
It’s worth noting that there have been numerous trade rumors regarding the shifty receiver. If the Dolphins were already looking to move him as recently as September, don’t be surprised if they let him go in 2018. That’ll open the door for the Ravens to swoop in and find him a new home. That is, if he’s willing to catch passes from an “elite” Joe Flacco.
