12. Davante Adams, WR, Green Bay Packers

2017 Salary: $1,251,537

Where he will sign: Chicago Bears

After the way the 2017 campaign has gone, you just know the Chicago Bears will be looking for a way to turn things around. One way to do that would be to make a splash or two during free agency. That’s why signing Davante Adams makes too much sense for the Bears.

First off, wide receiver has been one of their biggest sore thumbs this season. Although Mitchell Trubisky’s development has been bumpy, it’s also been hindered by the lack of capable playmakers out wide. Bringing Adams aboard would absolutely provide Trubisky with a proven impact pass catcher who can be relied upon to produce on a weekly basis.

It also helps Chicago by taking an asset away from their divisional rivals, the Green Bay Packers. As the Packers continue to crumble under the weight of losing Aaron Rodgers, losing Adams would be another painful body blow. The Bears can use all the help they can get at this point.

I don’t believe Adams is married to Green Bay, especially since he’s capable of being a true No. 1 receiver. Instead of staying put and serving as a No. 2 or No. 3 option, he follows the money to the Windy City, where he takes over as the clear-cut top target.
