The New York Jets have a huge game in Denver this Sunday as they try to keep their playoff hopes alive. Here are three Jets players with rising stock.

It really has been a remarkable year for the New York Jets. That may seem like hyperbole but did you really expect Gang Green to be 5-7 and still in the AFC playoff race (barely) heading into Week 14? Nobody did.

That’s why the 2017 campaign has been so enjoyable. Their 38-31 comeback victory over Kansas City last Sunday was New York’s best win of the season and kept them on the fringes of a potential playoff berth.

Let’s take a look at three players whose stock is on the rise heading into New York’s Week 14 clash in Denver.

3. Jermaine Kearse

That Sheldon Richardson for Jermaine Kearse and a second-round draft pick trade looks pretty good right now doesn’t it? The 6-1, 212-pound wide receiver enjoyed his best game as a Jet with a team-high nine receptions for 157 yards and a spectacular one-handed catch in the fourth quarter. It was his second straight 100-plus receiving yard effort. Let’s take a look at his impressive highlight reel via YouTube:

The University of Washington product now leads the club in receptions (51), averaging 13.3 yards per catch. He’s also second in receiving yards (677) and touchdowns (5). He’s a steady, reliable player that has great hands and runs good routes. He is clutch in third down situations. Every team needs a player that can move the chains in a big spot and Kearse is that player.

Not known for possessing great speed, Kearse showed some separation skills in the highlight video above. His 51 catches are a career-high with four games to go. He needs just nine yards to set a career-high in receiving yards. The Jets would be nowhere near the playoff hunt without him. He’s a savvy, solid blue chip stock that is increasing in value with every outing.
