2. Robby Anderson

The speedy, undrafted free agent from Temple University is having a Pro Bowl caliber season so far in 2017. Although his five-game touchdown streak came to an end, Anderson had his third 100-yard plus effort of the season with 107 receiving yards on eight catches against the Chiefs. His separation skills are top-notch and even though he might not be quite as fast as Kansas City’s electrifying Tyreek Hill, he is pretty darn close.

The wiry 6-3, 190-pounder is tied for third in the NFL in touchdown receptions (7) and is averaging 16.8 yards per catch (fifth in the league). Cornerbacks worry about Anderson blowing past them on go and post routes. Safeties now realize that they have to provide help over the top at all times. Anderson may be the fastest Jets wide receiver since the great Wesley Walker and that is a fine compliment indeed.

Now in his second season, Anderson still has a little growing up to do based on some missteps this year (throwing his helmet at the end of the Miami debacle in week seven, for example) but the kid is a game-breaking, dynamic player. Gang Green has needed a player like that for a long time and Anderson’s stock continues to soar with each passing game.
