The Atlanta Falcons earned a huge win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 14. Here are 3 great benefits of the Dirty Bird’s divisional victory on Thursday.

The Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints met up in a gigantic NFC South battle on Thursday Night Football this past week. With two former NFL MVP quarterbacks under center and a pair of insane running back duos, this game was destined to come down to the final minutes.

Sure enough, that’s exactly what a national audience was treated to in Week 14 between these two division-rivals. Luckily for the Falcons, this contest fell in their favor.

Even though Matt Ryan threw three terrible interceptions to New Orleans, the Falcons were able to win a grind-it-out type of ballgame. Whenever the Saints would force a turnover, the Falcons defense kept bowing their necks and forcing Drew Brees back off the field.

Needless to say, if it weren’t for Atlanta’s defensive performance on Thursday, there’s no way they would’ve stay in the football game long enough to make a comeback. That said, take a look at three great benefits the Falcons earned from beating the NFC South-leading Saints in Week 14.
