The Washington Redskins visit Los Angeles for the second time this season on Sunday as they face the Chargers. Three bold predictions for the Skins in Week 14.
It’s been a tough season for the Washington Redskins. After a promising start, injuries have destroyed the team’s chances at the playoffs. Washington hasn’t fielded its entire starting offensive line since early in the season and star third-down back Chris Thompson was lost for the season a few weeks back in a move that finally broke the offense.
For as bad as everything sounds, there are still four games to play. At 5-7, Washington still has an outside shot at the playoffs. Realistically speaking, though, this isn’t a playoff team. Winning more games down the stretch would be huge for head coach Jay Gruden and quarterback Kirk Cousins. Gruden is still trying to change the culture in Washington and is one of the better offensive coaches in the league. And this team plays hard for him.
Washington has been good on the west coast this season. The Redskins won games in Los Angeles and in Seattle, both of which are current playoff squads. This week, the Redskins get to face Philip Rivers and Keenan Allen, one of the hottest quarterback/receiver tandems in the league. Washington’s offense faces an even tougher test against LA’s pass-rushers, Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram.
Can the Redskins pick up another big road win? Here are three bold predictions for Washington in this week’s game against the Rams.
