With just four games left to play, we have a rematch from back in Week 1. The Dallas Cowboys hosted the New York Giants in a game that was supposed to be a measuring stick for each team. Dallas won convincingly, and since then they’ve each had their own roller coaster season.

The Cowboys were supposed to be without running back Ezekiel Elliott to kick off the season, but continuous litigation made him available for that game. He won’t be on the field in this one though, as the league eventually got their way and Zeke will miss his fifth-of-six games. Without him, Dallas has struggled, posting a 1-3 record and falling to 6-6 on the year. They now cling to a small glimpse of hope for a shot at the post season, but need to beat the Giants in Week 14 to even think about that.

While the Giants are just 2-10, they may not look the same this week. Following a Week 13 loss, they fired head coach Ben McAdoo. They also reinserted quarterback Matt Ryan into the starting lineup after ruining his 210 game consecutive start streak.

Maybe interim coach Steve Spagnuolo can ignite a spark in the Giants, or perhaps it’s too late for a team that’s fallen off after going 11-5 a season ago.
