New York Jets: 3 Takeaways vs. Broncos in Week 14
In another road debacle, the New York Jets got shut out by the Denver Broncos 23-0 on Sunday.
The New York Jets re beginning to show their age, and not in a good way. They’re a young team, and young teams tend to have swings of inconsistency. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither will the Jets. The Jets may have also lost their best player on offense for the rest of the season. According to Pro Football Talk and other outlets, Quarterback Josh McCown has a broken left hand.
"Jets coach Todd Bowles said after the game that McCown has a broken left hand. Bowles said he did not know if McCown was done for the year or not."
It’s an unfortunate situation for McCown, because he was undoubtedly having the best season of his career. The Jets have plenty of issues that reared their ugly heads in this game, though, outside of the injury to their surprisingly effective quarterback.
It was the first time since Week 5 of the 2014 season that the Jets were shut out. So, that in of itself is a big issue. A lot can be taken from this game moving forward. Let’s examine not only the remainder of the 2017 season, but also the Jets in 2018 and beyond.
