Round 2: Vita Vea, DT, Washington

Even though the Chargers defense has begun to turn things around in 2017, their success in stopping the run has been terrible. Since early in the year, this Los Angeles defense has been in the bottom five of the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game. If Anthony Lynn wants to find prosperity in the AFC Playoffs, this team must get better on interior of their defensive line.

With that said, Vita Vea should be available for the Bolts in the second-round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Take a look at some of Vea’s accomplishments at Washington, courtesy of the Huskies athletics website:

"2017 All-Pac-12 First Team 2017 Academic All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention 2017 Polynesian Player of the Year Finalist 2017 Bednarik Award Semifinalist 2017 Associated Press Preseason All-America Second Team 2016 Second-Team All-Pac-12 2016 Academic All-Pac-12 Second Team"

Vea came into his 2017 season at Washington with some extremely high expectations, and he has continued to impress. As you can see above, he was named one of the best defensive players in the Pac-12 this year. Plus, he’s a player who would probably love to stay on the west coast.

Needless to say, this could easily be a win-win situation for both Vea and the Chargers.
