2018 NFL Draft: Los Angeles Chargers 7-round mock draft in December
By Derek Snyder
Round 4: Kendall Joseph, LB, Clemson
If we’re being honest, the Chargers don’t have an inside linebacker who can play great against another offense’s rushing attack. Hayes Pullard and Korey Toomer have done a decent job this season, but I don’t believe they are the answer moving into 2018. I could be wrong, but if I was, this defense wouldn’t be a league-worst against the run.
If Los Angeles decided to draft Kendall Joseph in the fourth round, they would be getting a reliable inside linebacker, who excels in stopping rushing attacks. According to Sports Reference, Joseph has racked up 86 tackles in only 11 games this season. Not to mention, he has registered four tackles for loss as well.
With two more potential games left for the Clemson Tigers in 2017, Joseph has the chance to surpass his tackle numbers from the previous year. Regardless, the kid from Clemson will be a hot-commodity once the NFL Draft process gets in full swing. He’s proven that he’s a true winner and will stop at nothing to help his team to a victory each weekend.
