Round 6: RJ McIntosh, DL, Miami (FL)

As we addressed in the earlier rounds of this mock draft, getting as much talent as possible on the defensive line is crucial for Los Angeles. If they are to improve in stopping opposing offenses from running the football for 150 yards-plus per game, they must find players who can excel in their 3-4 defensive scheme. That said, R.J. McIntosh would be a solid choice for the Bolts in the sixth round.

Take a look at what McIntosh accomplished this year for the Hurricanes, courtesy of Miami’s athletics website:

"Has started all 12 games on defensive line and has been among Miami’s top defensive contributors Earned second-team All-ACC recognition Leads Miami with 12.5 tackles for loss Earned one ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week honor"

This late in the draft, getting players who’ve been key contributors on their teams is imperative. Not to mention, when their team has been as successful at the Hurricanes were in 2017, it becomes a great situation for both parties.
