It’s getting closer to the 2018 NFL Draft, and it’s becoming more and more clear what the New York Jets need.

The New York Jets needs are clear for the 2018 NFL Draft. They need to bolster their offensive line. They need help on the edge and at cornerback on defense.

Offensive line is not a “sexy” topic. Most people couldn’t name the offensive linemen on their team, because they don’t get a lot of attention, unless they’re bad or do something wrong. With that said, it’s the most important unit on the team, because you win football in December, January and February in the trenches. That will never change.

They will use this draft to attack the secondary deficiencies as well. They need a shutdown corner who can take one side of the field away

The Jets waited for the best deal they thought they could get for Sheldon Richardson. Not only did they get a player, they also got a draft pick. They have two second round picks. They can either swap them to move back into the first round or use them.

2018 is about filling the missing elements in 2017, the hogs up front and the run game. That’s what we’ll try to do in this mid-December seven-round mock draft.
