The revolving door of the Jets quarterback gets a lot of attention, and rightfully so. That said, there’s been a revolving door at fullback for the Jets as well. There hasn’t been a steady performer at that positon since the days of Jerald Sowell, which is saying something. Further bolstering the run game along with adding to the offensive line, Dimitri Flowers will be that guy to end the inconsistency at fullback..

Adding Flowers would not only provide them with a good lead blocker, but he’s become a weapon on offense as well. He led the way for two 1,000-yard rushers in 2016, and Oklahoma is on the verge of another in 2017. He also has eight touchdowns (four each rushing and receiving). So he’s a viable weapon in short yardage and out of the backfield.

In addition to his blocking, pass receiving and short yardage skills, he can be used on special teams as well. That adds value to his draft stock, because the Jets could use more help on their special teams unit. He will provide the Jets with a lot of help that they need in 2018 and beyond in multiple phases of the game, making him a fantastic addition in the sixth round.
