3. Chargers will hold Kareem Hunt under 100 rushing yards

It seems like it was only yesterday when Kareem Hunt ran for 172 yards and one touchdown against the Chargers in Week 3. Not only did he break open a 69-yard touchdown run late in the game, but he average a whopping 10.1 yards per carry. Needless to say, that’s going to be hard to repeat in Week 15.

More from Los Angeles Chargers

Andy Reid will do everything he can to get Hunt as many carries as possible, but that will all be dictates by the flow of the football game. If the Chargers can get an early lead on Kansas City Saturday evening, it could force the Chiefs to abandon the running game and lean on the arm of Alex Smith.

If you’ve been paying attention to Kansas City’s offense over the last eight weeks, that’s not a recipe for success. Not because Smith has played poorly, but because they haven’t been able to keep the opposing offense off-the-field.

Heck, according to ESPN, Hunt as only averaged a total of 64.5 rushing yards per game since the Chiefs last faced the Chargers. They haven’t been giving him the football enough, and it’s cost Kansas City six losses along the way. That said, expect the Bolts defense to hold the rookie under 100 rushing yards in Arrowhead Stadium this weekend.
