Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants

When division rivals clash, you can throw records out the window. That said, the results speak for themselves. The Philadelphia Eagles are 12-7 since 2000 in East Rutherford, NJ and 5-2 at MetLife Stadium against the New York Giants. Despite the 5-2 record, the Eagles have only outscored the Giants 190-188 at MetLife.

Like their stadium-mates, the Giants have a chance to play spoiler to their division rivals. The Eagles would love to have two home games and a bye in the Wild Card Round of the NFL Playoffs. That said, the Eagles could clinch just that with a win in Week 15 after clinching the NFC East last week..

Nick Foles will make the start after Carson Wentz tore his ACL. Foles is a good NFL quarterback, and that shouldn’t phase this team. They’re built on the run and solid offensive line play with occasional shots downfield.

Betting Odds

Point Spread: Philadelphia -7.5
Moneyline: Philadelphia -350, New York +275
Over/Under: 40

Prediction

Despite the rust factor for Foles, the Giants defense isn’t capable of holding up for four quarters, because their offense is terrible. It will resemble the game against the Cowboys early, as the Giants will keep it close. The Giants offensive line and running game won’t hold up for the entire game.

The Eagles offensive line will manhandle the defensive front of the Giants and they won’t even touch Nick Foles, and they will also run all over the Giants to the tune of 150+ rushing yards. The question of the game is will we see a closer semblance of the 2013 Nick Foles or the more down to earth 2014-15 Foles? It’s going to be somewhere in between. He will be efficient, and he will do enough to lead the Eagles to a sound victory, as they pull away early in the second half.

Score Prediction: Philadelphia Eagles: 31, New York Giants: 10
