The Dallas Cowboys faced the Oakland Raiders on Sunday in Week 15 of the 2017 NFL season. Here are highlights from the game.

The Dallas Cowboys still have a chance to reach the NFC Playoffs this season, but each week is a must-win situation for the team as this is the last week the Cowboys will be without Ezekiel Elliott. The star running back returns on Christmas Eve for Week 16 against the Seattle Seahawks in what could be another important game for both teams.

Until then, the focus is on Derek Carr and the Oakland Raiders for the Cowboys with both teams badly needing the win.

Oakland enters this game at 6-7 overall, and though mathematically still in the hunt for a chance at the AFC West it is still a tough road ahead for them with just three games left for them on the schedule. The Cowboys are also in the playoff hunt as a wild card team in the NFC, but just like Oakland they have a bit of a road ahead for them as well.

The Cowboys have won their past two games with NFC East wins over the Washington Redskins and New York Giants, plus they know if they even want to stay in playoff talk they can’t afford to lose this game.

Simply put if the Cowboys win they can stay in the playoff conversation and give themselves a chance to play in the postseason. If the Raiders win they can move to .500 and stay within one game of the Kansas City Chiefs with two weeks to go. A lot is at stake for these two teams, which makes Sunday Night Football even that more exciting.
