The Packers will welcome back quarterback Aaron Rodgers with open arms this week. Rodgers has missed the past two months of action with a broken collarbone, but he’s back just in time for the team to make a late-season run. While some rust is expected, the mere sight of Rodgers back on the field figures to give the Packers some extra motivation.

Meanwhile, the Panthers are coming off a terrific win against the Minnesota Vikings last week, a game that featured three touchdowns by Jonathan Stewart and a key 62-yard run by Cam Newton late in the game. The Panthers are trying to hold off several teams for a Wildcard spot, but do have an outside chance of winning their division. Any hope of a division title, however, begins with a needed win over Green Bay.

It’ll be fascinating to see how Rodgers plays in his return to action. He’s a future Hall of Famer, and Rodgers at 75 percent is much better than a 100 percent healthy Brett Hundley. The Panthers have an underrated defense, so Rodgers might find some difficulty in putting points on the board.
