3. Josh McCown ≠ Superman

If you want to say McCown was having a good season, then I will agree. If you want to say the he was having a great one, I will have to start to disagree with you. Then when you say that the Jets would have definitely gotten better from McCown, I will have to stop you in your tracks.

McCown was undoubtedly having the best season of his career, but by no means was it all peaches and cream. McCown has had some moments where he had untimely turnovers in crucial moments and critical gaffes. Hence, the Jets were 5-8 going into the game.

Don’t get me wrong, he was playing well, and he deserve a lot of the credit for the Jets being where they are. Just don’t make it out to be more than it is.

For McCown, it’s his best season, but it’s like Ryan Fitzpatrick in 2015. Good for him doesn’t mean great. Don’t make it out like we haven’t seen the inconsistent play at the quarterback position before this season. It’s nothing new for the Jets this season. So, let’s just slow down and give him a chance to get better before we throw him to the side.
