3. Jets defense will keep Melvin Gordon well under 100 yards rushing

The Chargers have been able to lean on Melvin Gordon most weekends in 2017, but this may be a game where they have to throw in order to win. While the Jets are in the bottom-half of the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game, multiple injuries on the Los Angeles offensive line could make things a little dicey for Gordon in Week 16.

It would be a little different if this game was being played out on the west coast, but this Bolts squad will have to go play across the country on Sunday afternoon against New York. In case you haven’t been paying attention, four of the Jets five wins have come in the friendly confines of MetLife Stadium.

That said, I would caution anyone who believes this weekend’s game against the Gang Green will be an easy walk in the park.

Not only could New York’s defense completely shut down Gordon’s presence in the running game, but they could make life hard on Philip Rivers as well. Expect a ton of carries, but not a lot of rushing yards from the former Wisconsin Badgers running back this weekend.
