After a loss in their first meeting, the New Orleans Saints hope to beat the Atlanta Falcons this week. Here are 3 bold predictions for the black and gold.

Where are you, Christmas Eve? On this Christmas Eve afternoon, the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons will meet for the second time in three weeks. While the game seemed it was going in the Saints favor, the Falcons took advantage. Even though it’s only been two calendar weeks, it has helped fan the flame on their rivalry.

The Saints took on the Jets and were victorious. Maybe it wasn’t as big of a victory as we thought, but still a win. Against the Jets, the Saints showed some weakness and some mistakes they can’t make against the Falcons. The offense stuttered including the running game being halted, Brees throwing an interception and two lost fumbles but handled the adversity well.

As for the defense, they kept up their streak of getting takeaways. They picked off Bryce Petty twice, but all eyes were on Cameron Jordan. Jordan had one of his best games of the season and wouldn’t give Bryce Petty hardly any time to throw. Jordan is going to be key in holding off the Falcons this week, but more on that later.

With a revitalized rivalry and playoff hopes hanging in the balance, the Saints and Falcons are playing in another high-stakes game. These are three bold predictions for the New Orleans Saints before they take on the Falcons for the second time.
