The New York Giants future rests in the hands of an unknown person at the moment, and the 2018 offseason will be a critical stepping stone for the future of the organization.

The 2018 NFL offseason will begin with the New York Giants needing a lot of roster help. That doesn’t mean it all has to be done through the draft. Unlike the other three leagues. Free agency comes before the draft in the NFL. This allows teams to know what they actually need in the draft rather than hoping to fill their needs in the draft and end up needing more than they can get in free agency.

The Giants have a big decision to make. Eli Manning has a no-trade clause and $22.2 million cap number in 2018. The Giants probably should let him go, but they need to convince him to waive the no-trade clause or take a $12.4 million cap penalty.

They won’t get equal value for him, but they can send him to a contender who’s just a quarterback away from winning, help him get his third Super Bowl ring and still get their quarterback of the future. However, that’s not all that they need to do in the 2018 offseason to get back on the right track moving forward.

Here is a look at the best case scenario for the Giants in 2018.
