Sign Kirk Cousins

There are two great things that come out of this, specifically in regards to the quarterback position and not the team as a whole. The first is that the Giants would get a quarterback they know can play in the NFL and not have to hope that the quarterback can develop in the way they want. The second is that they’d hurt a division rival.

If the Redskins lose Cousins to free agency, they will be in the basement of the NFC East in 2018. So, signing Cousins can help the Giants future and hinder the Redskins for at least one season, possibly multiple seasons.

Cousins is a proven commodity in the NFL. Imagine Cousins throwing to the likes of Odell Beckham, Jr. That would be a dangerous duo. If the Giants have that duo plus a solid running game and offensive line, they could compete with the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys for NFC East supremacy for a long time.

The Giants would also vault into the Super Bowl mix with Cousins and the right supporting cast. He can deliver them at least their fifth Super Bowl in the history of the franchise which would tie New England and Dallas for second all-time.
