Get their left tackle of the future and a feature back

Landing Kirk Cousins will not only solve their quarterback issue, it will also allow them to fix issues they need to in the NFL Draft. The Giants offensive line is terrible, and even though left tackle Erick Flowers is showing sign of steady improvement, it may behoove the Giants to consider moving him to right tackle.

The move to right tackle would open up the left tackle for them to draft Notre Dame left tackle Mike McGlinchey. McGlinchey would’ve been the best left tackle in the 2017 NFL Draft, but he elected to stay in school, and his decision to stay is actually a good sign of discipline, because he stuck to his college plan of five years at Notre Dame, according to Laken Litman of the Indianapolis Star.

"When he first came to college, he set out on a five-year plan and is on track to complete that process. “I have 19 games left here and that’s what I fully intend to take on,” McGlichey said. “I have a lot left to learn. I’m not ready to go anywhere.”"

His teammate, Josh Adams should also be available for the Giants in the second round. Adams is a power back, but he also has the ability to accelerate and go to another gear. The Giants will be moving forward well with this duo plus Cousins and Beckham. They could be a dangerous team in the NFL for years.
