Tight Ends

Start

Eric Ebron, Detroit Lions vs. Cincinnati Bengals – Over the last two weeks Ebron has been the second-best PPR tight end and he has four or more receptions in five-straight games. The Bengals haven’t been bad at covering tight ends this season but they have given up a touchdown in each of the last two weeks to opposing tight ends. Don’t get me wrong, Ebron could easily disappoint owners, but I do prefer him over the two players listed below (who are being started in more percentage of ESPN leagues).

Sit

Vernon Davis, Washington Redskins vs. Denver Broncos – Even with Jordan Reed out, Davis has averaged less than two receptions per game over the last four weeks. The matchup against the Broncos might be good and technically it’s a #revengegame for Davis. Yet, I don’t care. Davis is way too unreliable to be starting in the championship week.

Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys vs. Seattle Seahawks – The ninth-best PPR tight end this season has finished with single-digit performances in six out of his last eight games. There’s just not enough upside with Witten this week.
