It seemed like a storybook campaign for the Philadelphia Eagles this season for most of the year. Then Carson Wentz tore his ACL and the shine wore off. Sure, they’ve not lost yet with Nick Foles at the helm, but as they head toward the NFL Playoffs, no one feels as confident in them as they did before. That includes the feeling about them in a Christmas Day clash with the Oakland Raiders.

Foles, admittedly, has been quite good to this point of his relief starting appearances. He tossed a bevy of scores last week in a rousing win over the Giants. However, what they’ll need on Monday is for Fletcher Cox and the defense to come up big. Though Oakland has been a letdown overall this season, they’re still dangerous.

Derek Carr, Marshawn Lynch and the Raiders offense hasn’t been what many people expected it would be this season. When you have that much firepower, though, the unit can take off at any second. If that happens and Khalil Mack and the defense can step up, there could be a Christmas upset brewing in Philly with Oakland benefitting from such things.
