New York Jets (5-10) at New England Patriots (12-3)

It’s nearly time for the playoffs, which means the New England Patriots are about to get even better than they’ve been all year long. Bill Belichick’s group always seems to turn it on in December and January, and this season should be no exception.

Especially after their Week 16 trouncing of the Buffalo Bills, the Patriots will come looking to draw more AFC East blood. The momentum gained from a solid win should give them a boost headed into the postseason, all while ensuring the AFC playoffs go through New England.

Despite their three-game losing streak, the New York Jets are no pushover. They’ll put up a fight, at least on defense, forcing Tom Brady to work some of that magic that’s only reserved for serious games. I wouldn’t imagine this being too tedious a task, but the New England offense will be forced to work for it.

In the end, though, New York’s lack of offense and inconsistent defense will do them in. They give the Patriots a run for their money early, but trail off as their offensive inefficiencies start to drag them down. Brady and Co. seal the deal, and start preparations for the postseason.

Prediction: Patriots win 26-10
