Green Bay Packers (7-8) at Detroit Lions (8-7)

At this point, both of these teams are playing for pride and incentives. Neither has lived up to expectations in 2017, and a Week 17 win won’t matter much in the grand scheme of things. Still, I have to go with someone as the winner. Well, I’m going with the Lions.

After all that’s happened to the Packers in recent weeks, they just look defeated. Did you see the pitiful effort they mustered against the Vikings on Saturday night? I know it was against the league’s top defense, but NFC North rivalries usually throw that type of stuff out the window.

This Packers team just doesn’t have the drive right now. Especially with the Aaron Rodgers scandal hanging over this franchise like a rain cloud, there are going to be too many distractions and not enough motivation to secure a win.

Detroit would have liked to have had this victory a week earlier, but that’s just not how it worked out. Instead, they get the “W” in Week 17, bumping themselves that much further down the draft order as they prepare for an offseason full of people wondering what could have been.

Prediction: Lions win 19-14
