2017 NFL Picks, score predictions for Week 17
Dallas Cowboys (8-7) at Philadelphia Eagles (13-2)
This game means almost nothing for the Philadelphia Eagles outside of divisional pride. They’ve already secured the top spot in the NFC and a first-round bye, so there’s a very good chance we’ll see many of their starters playing little or no snaps on Sunday.
That should help the Cowboys secure what will also end up being a win with little meaning. They were eliminated from playoff contention in Week 16 following their loss to the Seattle Seahawks. At this point, the win actually hurts them because it could affect their positioning during the 2018 NFL Draft.
Still, with the opportunity to stick it to the Eagles before their playoff run, Dallas capitalizes. Dak Prescott flings it early and often, putting some quality points on the board. Ezekiel Elliott also gets some work in, trying to pad his stats to cap a sophomore season ravaged by a six-game suspension.
Then again, after the way Nick Foles played in Week 16, he may need a bounce-back game before the Eagles’ first playoff appearance. Either way, look for the Cowboys to walk away victorious in this one, as they attempt to earn an inkling of respect before getting their offseason under way.
Prediction: Cowboys win 34-21
