3. It’s Time To Get A Quarterback

The first thing Denver needs to do this offseason is devise a plan on how they can upgrade the quarterback position. Whether it be through free agency or the draft, Denver needs to get a quarterback in the worst way. They had all the tools this year to make a playoff push, but they couldn’t make any steps in the right direction, because they didn’t have a decent quarterback to facilitate the offensive game plan.

Brock Osweiler looked bad again against the Redskins, passing for just 193 yards and one interception. He averaged a dismal 5.1 yards per attempt and finished the game with an 8.8 QBR. This was another horrific performance by Osweiler and proof that Denver needs to be aggressive in the offseason when it comes to acquiring their new franchise quarterback. If they don’t figure out a way to get fresh blood on the roster, then expect similar results in 2018.

Going into this game, we all knew that Osweiler will not become the franchise quarterback for the Broncos. But, this was still and audition for a future spot on the roster or another team’s roster and Osweiler ultimately fell flat on this face like he has done many times this season. If anything, this is evident to why Denver needs to think long and hard at what they need to do in the offseason.
