Washington Redskins vs. New York Giants

The New York Giants get to end their season by taking on the Washington Redskins. There’s really nothing at stake in this game, except for one thing: the future (in many people’s eyes) of one of the organizations.

The Kirk Cousins situation is in flux and will be until the 2018 league year begins. That said the Giants have a lot riding on this game. They call fall to No. 3 in the 2018 NFL Draft, and that could pose as devastating consequences.

They may want to draft their quarterback of the future in the first round (even though they shouldn’t). So falling behind the Colts would pose a problem, even if the Colts have no intention of taking a quarterback.

Winning this game could give the Colts the leverage they need to swindle the Giants out of draft picks. They could make claims that they’re planning to take a quarterback and get the Giants to trade up for a ransom.

The Giants are in a must-lose situation, and the Redskins know it.

Prediction

Giants fans better be scoreboard watching throughout this game. Most fans will be thinking, “What took them so long?” Also, “Why are you winning now?!”

The Redskins aren’t as good as some think, and this could be the perfect game to let their guard down. From an organizational standpoint, losing actually hurts New York more. So, they could choose to tank their last game.

In the end, this game will come down to who has the ball last, and fortunately for fans of the G-Men, the Redskins will get the final possession. When the clock reaches 0:00, New York fans will be happy. Big Blue will lose, and they will secure a shot at either Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen.

Score Prediction: Washington Redskins: 17, New York Giants: 14
