To say that the 2017 NFL regular season played out almost wholly like no one thought it would is doing the shocking nature an injustice. No matter if you look at the NFC or AFC, surprises were in abundance throughout the league all season. That started early in the year and played out right to the very end. Now, in the interest of excitement, we can hope that it plays out in the 2018 NFL Playoffs.

Coming into Week 17, there weren’t truly many spots up for grabs. The NFC playoff picture as a general whole looked to be locked up. Meanwhile, it was just the Wild Card spots in the AFC that needed deciding. Thus, there wasn’t a whole lot of drama in that regard, though there were plenty of seeds left to be decided.

In the end, it was the Atlanta Falcons punching their ticket to the postseason out of the NFC. Meanwhile, the Tennessee Titans and the Buffalo Bills were able to do their part in the regular season finale and get into the playoffs. Now, the stage is set as 12 teams will vie for the chance to call themselves the champions of Super Bowl LII.
