The Los Angeles Chargers finished their 2017 schedule just short of an AFC Playoff berth. Take a look at some final grades for the Bolts.

The Los Angeles Chargers finished their 2017 season with a big win over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday afternoon, 30-10. While finishing a season 9-7 is never something NFL teams strive for, the Bolts won each of their 9 games of the last 12 weeks of the season. When you add that into the equation, Chargers fans should breathe a sigh of relief.

Still, I get where you’re coming from if there’s some disappointment that Los Angeles won’t be playing on Wild Card weekend. The opportunity was in front of them, but unfortunately, the Jaguars and Ravens didn’t take care of business.

At the end of the day, the Bolts took care of their side of the deal, but early-season woes ended up haunting this team come December.

That means Los Angeles gets to take the next few months off, get healthy and begin adding more players onto a team destined to make the AFC Playoffs sooner rather than later. If you’re a Chargers fan still holding onto hope, you may not have to wait much longer than the 2018 season.

However, before then, take a look at the team’s grades for the coaching staff, defense, special teams and offense in the following pages.
