2. Demaryius Thomas

There’s a chance that this could have been Demaryius Thomas’ last game as a Bronco. There were rumors that the Broncos were trying to trade him during the trade deadline. However, the team denied the rumors. But, that doesn’t mean the team won’t try to put him up for trade in the near future.

Thomas finished the season with 83 receptions for 949 yards and five touchdowns. He’s 30 years old and his production has been declining every year since the 2014 season. Part of this is due to inefficient quarterback play. He’s also aging and his skills are slowly starting to diminish. Thomas is not the physical specimen that he used to be. This has shown in his play in the last few seasons.

He’s still a very talented wide receiver who still has a few more years of high end production. The Broncos should keep him on the roster for at least another year, because he could be a key piece to their team next year. A veteran presence at wide receiver would be very helpful for whoever the team brings onto the roster at quarterback in the offseason.

There’s a good chance that they draft a quarterback, and Thomas’ veteran leadership could help mold a young quarterback.
