The Buffalo Bills are in the NFL Playoffs, and they get to head to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars on Sunday in the Wild Card Round.
Buffalo Bills fans can breathe again. The Bills are back in the playoffs for the first time since 1999, and they are no longer the NFL team with the distinction of having the longest playoff drought. That now belongs to the Browns.
Now, they still are among the teams with the longest droughts without a playoff victory. They’re currently one of four teams that have gone at least 20 seasons without a playoff victory, and the Lions and Bengals (teams not in the 2017 Playoffs) are the only two with longer droughts. So, what do the Bills have to do to get their first playoff win since 1995?
There are a lot of people that have to step up for Buffalo in order to get this win. It’s going to be a team effort if they want to escape Jacksonville with a win and head to Foxborough next Sunday. That said, Jacksonville won’t make it easy. They have a formidable pass rush, and Blake Bortles is beginning to show why the Jaguars took him third overall in the 2014 NFL Draft.
