For the New York Jets, 2018 is a crucial offseason for the rebuild, and it will set the fate of this team moving forward for many years.

The New York Jets extended the contracts of general manager Mike Maccagnan and head coach Todd Bowles through the 2020 season. That means the franchise is in it for the long haul. They trust that Maccagnan is building the right way for the future and Bowles has them headed in the right direction on the field.

As with every team aspiring to be annual contenders for the postseason, there is still a lot of work to do, beyond just tweaking the roster. Some places, like the offensive line, need an overhaul, and other places, like quarterback need stability.

There are a lot of ways to improve this team. The first is to cut players. Let’s dive into the players that must go from this team.
